TvhClient enables your iPhone or iPad to conveniently execute common daily tasks on your TVHeadend server, granting you the ability to watch channels on your device.
TvhClient allows remote control of the TVHeadend server - a DVB receiver, DVR, and streaming server.
The application relies on real-time data retrieved from the TVHeadend server to facilitate various tasks, such as:
- Viewing streaming video of channels within the app or launching a third-party video application
- Listing channels
- Viewing channel EPGs
- Searching by program title
- Starting, scheduling, and playing back recordings (DVR)
- Checking alternative show times
- Viewing the server's log/status
- Browsing muxes and playing any of them without a channel
Supported Tvheadend versions: 3.2 and up.
Transcoding is supported in TVHeadend 4.x versions using TVHeadend's profiles.

The app facilitates sending the video stream URL directly to: VLC, Oplayer, Buzz Player, GoodPlayer, Ace Player, nPlayer, and remotely to Kodi (TvhClient does not support passwords in web interface!).
